A sacrifice we make on our end, to allow our local home grown residents the opportunity to experience this joy, is to offer them a reduced rate, this means everyone gets to play. Visitors don't pay more as a result, the effect is on our end. Economic considerations to South Africans, including the reality that most living expenses are comparable to Europe and the US despite the exchange rate makes us care to be fair and inclusive.  River activities employ local guides and support the local community. There are mixed opinions about this one, here is one view we feel somewhat reflects ours.
